The New York Times recently published an excellent, yet sobering, article, "Maggots, Rape and Yet Five Stars: How U.S. Ratings of Nursing Homes Mislead the Public." The article highlights findings from Integra Med Analytics, Integra FEC's sister company, on the systematic underreporting of pressure ulcers at nursing homes.

 

We appreciate how the New York Times has highlighted this issue among nursing homes and are hopeful that the article and research will be used to bring more attention and change to benefit the vulnerable elderly population affected.
